COVID-19 raise on a regular basis has shaken the entire world. Many new rules and systems are implemented to prevent ourselves from this pandemic situation.
Now people will be habituated to digital socialisation over in-person interactions, right?

Traditionally, there were almost two common ways in which brands would reach audiences, through Bollywood filmstars or cricketers. Over time, it’s become an expensive suggestion. So, brands started looking for more cost-effective approaches or alternatives to marketing, and that gave rise to influencers.

1. Brands saw more engagements as they continued to educate and entertain people through social media
In this lockdown period, everyone was at their respective homes, and this became an intriguing opportunity for brands to connect with their customers. Brands like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Hotstar, etc. created engaging content by partnering with well-known influencers to drive their social appearances.
Similarly, gaming apps like Ludo that were mostly played by millennials in the last few years have now picked up among diverse age groups.
2. Public figures/ Celebrities regularly did Instagram LIVE with each other
As social media experts, we have observed cricketers, film stars, and even influencers started engaging through multiple sessions of LIVE streaming among themselves.
It was probably for the first time that their fanbase had a completely different type of experience, which was seeing their favourite personality’s human side.
Social Media Platforms saw a bunch in streaming and live content-format.
3. Vloggers imaginative ways to create content
Well, it was a hard time for Vloggers as they were stuck in their sofa\’s, not the car seat which created a crisis in their revenue stream due to the pandemic. In this case, some of the vloggers started creating content via Facetime Photoshoot and even shows happened over video recordings or on Zoom.
After a month of lockdown, many Vloggers come up with artistic ways to recapitulate creating content from their home.
4. Influencers helped brands raising funds for safety awareness and causes
In this area influencers actively worked during the pandemic. Many food brands unexpectedly took help from influencers to advance awareness around safety measures. Diverse agencies worked on accumulating money for the cause, and almost all influencers somehow devoted to getting the messages out to a broader audience.
5. Stand Up Influencers like musicians and comics took their show on Instagram LIVE & IGTV
COVID-19 pandemic was an event which nobody had ever endured before, such as being stuck at home that might have affected our mental health more or less.
Well, here Musicians and Stand Up artist Influencers did a moderately excellent job. They made their content without copyrights issues so that the end-users can consume and take part in Instagram LIVE or YouTube Stream sessions.

On some occasions, such activities or experiments of engagement not only revived them to reach a bigger audience, but for consumers also, it became a source of entertainment.
6. Travel influencers grieved this lockdown period
Travel Blogger and Vloggers grieved, and it’s still uncertain where nobody knows when the normal would come back. So, here’s the learning that before creating your niche, you should know all the back-and-forth.
Well, there were still Travel Influencers or bloggers/vloggers who tried creating something different.
7. Movie promotions happened over videos on social media & LIVE sessions
As many movies had an OTT release, influencers and artists promoted movie releases by creating content from their sofa.
Well, this was what we found in the lockdown period for influencers!
Due to this pandemic, undoubtedly influencers had a lot of work, but this makes it all the more noteworthy that the brands have to choose their influencers very intelligently since they have a lot of stress to churn out the most desirable content.
Of course, there will be the winners and losers!
